The electric bikes

The house comes with two electric bikes, both with a child seat. You can use them free of charge during your stay. A few simple agreements keep them in good shape for you and the next guests.

Charging

  • Charge the batteries as soon as you arrive, so you can head out straight away the next day.
  • Connect the charger to the battery and plug it into the socket in the shed.
  • The red light on the charger must stay on continuously while the battery is charging. Is it off or blinking? Check that the plug and the battery are properly connected.
  • Charge the bikes again after every day of cycling, so they are always ready to go.

Where to ride and where not

  • Do not ride in the dunes or on the beach. Sand and salt water damage the motor, chain and brakes. Park the bike at the beach entrance and walk the last bit.
  • Stay on the cycle paths and paved roads.

Using the bikes

  • Treat the bikes with care, just as you would your own bike.
  • One person per bike. Children may only ride along in the child seat, with the belt fastened.
  • Always lock the bike when you leave it, even for a moment.
  • Put the bikes back in the shed after use and overnight.

Something broken?

  • A flat tyre or a breakdown on the road? Call the local bike repair shop yourself: Garage- en tweewielerbedrijf Visser, +31 519 554 117.
  • Other damage, or the pedal assist not working? Let us know and we will sort it out.
  • Please do not try to repair the bike yourself.
